We have enjoyed working with Hannah from the LLS and Sarah from SwabTec to saliva test all our stud flock over the last month. The test measures the amount of a specific antibody within the sheeps saliva. Sheep with higher levels of antibodies are better able to resist/limit worm infections. We look forward to seeing the results. Another tool to help us breed easy care sheep.

It’s been a long hot summer at GI but the sheep are looking good and it’s been a great opportunity to get some water projects underway that we had been talking about doing. Bring on Autumn and 🤞some rain ☔️

Joining time. We always enjoy drafting up last years lambs into their sire groups to see who makes the cut for this years joining. Some of the stud ewes in their joining group
